Large 1920s Whiting & Davis Enamel Mesh Purse Bag Bead-Lite Fringe Handbag
Lovely enameled Whiting & Davis purse measure about 16" long including the handle chain, about 9 1/2" long without the chain and 5 across frame at the widest. The metal frame is gold tone color with deco design, the chain is also gold color. It has pink, red, green, brown, blue and white on creamy beige color enameled mesh. It has needle point design, front and back has same pattern. Marked MESH WHITING & DAVIS BAGS. The mesh links on this purse is like half dome beads, this style is call "bead-lite" The fringe on the bottom also made with the bead-lite mesh, very un-usual.
This is in very nice condition, on missing link or holes. The enamel on the mesh portion of the purse is very good with very little wear on a few mesh. Minor wear on gold metal. Most of the items that we list are antique or vintage pieces. So expected wear is normal.
