Design appears on both sides and is embellished with a silver tone frame accented by a sweet floral foliate spray. Closes tightly with a kiss lock catch and trimmed with double-side van dyke fringe in a black and white vertical stripes decorated with green and turquoise points. Whiting & Davis launched its mesh bag line in 1924 but didn't actually run an advertisement for these "all the rage" accessories until 1927. By then, the inventiveness of the mesh fabric and range of exquisite designs had made its mark in women's fashion.
